I recently picked up some food from Que’s Carry Out for Fert The Foodie and me.
So, what were my thoughts? Well, here they are in short:
1. Fert’s burger was four patties — mine was one. Yeah…big surprise.
2. I loved/appreciated the mural at the shop (see third pic). A memorial of sorts to the restaurant owners’ loved ones. What a cool/admirable thing.
3. The burger was very good. I think Fert said it reminded him a bit of Sport Burger. I agree (as long as I’m not misconstruing). Regardless, it was a nice cheeseburger and for me a single was great. And by the way — $5? Seriously a reasonable price.
4. I really liked the catfish. A lot. Wichita By E.B. described the fish as having a lot of ‘meat’ in it and he’s right. A lot of times fried fish can be 50% breading. Not this. You can see from my pics. Also, I like “fishy.” Not everyone does. I thought it was fishy and that’s a good thing.
5. I thought the fries were good.
I will definitely be back at Que’s. Que’s Carry Out is located in south central Wichita,Kansas on Harry St. just west of I-135 at 1306 E. Harry St., Wichita, KS 67211.
