For nearly two years I’ve wondered why Dodge City, Kansas, Garden City, Kansas or Liberal, Kansas do not have something like a Taco Festival.
Tell me what I’m missing? I guarantee that there would be area restaurants that would want to participate to get crowned 1st, 2nd or 3rd best taco. Excellent opportunity for the restaurants to get future customers and awesome opportunity for SW Kansas foodies that want to sample a plethora of different dishes.
I know there are food truck rallies in Garden City and maybe elsewhere. But I’m talking something different.
And substitute taco with whatever you want. But there are a ton of Mexican spots — both authentic and Tex-mex in that neck of the woods.
So here I am putting it out there.
