It’s interesting how a day can mean nothing to someone and mean everything to another.
This day is April 26th. For some, it’s a wedding anniversary or a birthday, or unfortunately the worst day of their life. For others, it’s “just a day.”
For me this day is the day before I started my “blog” two years ago. I don’t even like calling it that — a blog, but what the heck else do you call it? A smattering of stuff?
I started this thing for two reasons and I think I’ve said this, but maybe not…sometimes I think about saying things and then decide not to. First, exposure of small business that is the backbone of everything. Second, I got tired of the negativity. The politics. The people that believe they are right and everyone else is wrong. Which is too many, including me. I decided I wanted to be funny/brighten a day or something. Not sure. I doubt I ever accomplished that. But here’s to the ol’ college try.
And in the two years I have done this…I’ve managed to visit so many cities throughout Kansas. I’ve been to spots in 82 cities. I’ve been to Andover, Arkansas City, Arlington, Ashland, Augusta, Belle Plaine, Benton, Buhler, Burrton, Cheney, Cimarron, Colby, Colwich, Coolidge, Copeland, Council Grove, Cunningham, Derby, Dodge City, Douglass, El Dorado, Ellinwood, Emporia, Ford, Garden City, Garden Plain, Goodland, Grainfield, Great Bend, Greensburg, Haven, Haviland, Hays, Haysville, Hugoton, Hutchinson, Ingalls, Inman, Johnson City, Kansas City, Kingman, Kinsley, Lakin, Larned, Latham, Lawrence, Leawood, Leon, Liberal, Lindsborg, Macksville, Maize, Manhattan, McPherson, Meade, Montezuma, Moundridge, Mulvane, Newton, Overland Park, Park City, Parsons, Pratt, Protection, Rock, Saint Francis, Salina, Satanta, Sawyer, Sedgwick, Stafford, Strong City, Sublette, Topeka, Towanda, Ulysses, Valley Center, Wellington, Wichita, Wilson, Yoder and Zenda. I’ve had the opportunity to truly experience a lot of Kansas.
So…I’m hoping tomorrow to have a big announcement. But maybe not. We’ll see. If I don’t, then it’ll just be another day for me. But maybe an important day for you.
