A Public Service Announcement for Chipotles and Qdobas in Kansas.
Your competition (actually you’re no contest) is now Rincón Latino Restaurant in Newton, Kansas. If you’re smart, you will fear them. For less money, they have quality in-house made bowls, burritos, etc. For $11 I ordered this huge bowl with chicken, steak and pork. They also have shrimp and spicy chicken. I had rice in my bowl with pinto beans, cheese, pico de gallo, jalapeño, mild and medium salsas (the red sauces). It was all clearly fresh and made in house.
Shout out to Gastrofan Jennie Cross for putting me onto this spot that just opened three months ago. I had not heard about it before. Her words to me: “We have a newer place in Newton that’s like Chipotle on crack!”
Rincon Latino Restaurant is located at 1726 N. Main St. in North Newton.
