I needed to swing by the convenience store when I was in Dodge City recently. Lo and behold, there was a restaurant in this gas station I stopped at called “River Stop Restaurant.”
The restaurant is NOT a Mexican restaurant, but it definitely is catered towards Mexican food (or better put, it definitely has authentic Mexican food). I ordered up an Asada Burrito with Papas (potatoes/fries). It was tasty, as was the salsa. But if you look at the menu it has Biscuits and Gravy, an Omelet, Waffles, Pancakes, Chicken Sandwiches and Strips and Burgers. In addition to multiple Mexican food items like Flautas, Enchiladas, Tacos, Tostadas and Burritos.
My food was cooked, made to order…which I love. River Stop Restaurant has no social media presence that I could find. It is located at 100 N. 2nd Ave., Dodge City, KS 67801.
