One of the most asked questions I get is “Where can I get a New York style slice in Kansas?”
Well, I genuinely think it MIGHT be at Sam & Louie’s in Iola, Kansas. Iola is located around 110 miles east of Wichita on Hwy. 54.
Sam & Louie’s is technically a chain. It’s based out of Nebraska with three locations there, one in Texas, one in Colorado and one in Kansas in Iola. Six total locations.
I ordered the Pepperoni slice, the T-Rex slice and the Sam & Luigi’s Best slice. I had a hard time not eating all of the pizza. It was really good.
I’m truly jealous of Iola. And I’m once again reminded about the cool stuff in some of our small towns.
