There’s not a ton of Hawaiian food in Wichita,Kansas. But recently Sharky’s Island Bites opened up giving the people of ICT another option. It’s located in northwest Wichita just west of the N. Tyler Rd and W. 21st. N intersection.
Now, I missed the soft opening so needed to go check it out. Fert The Foodie had ordered the Bull Shark Burger, which is a Double Patty Smash Burger with spicy buldak noodles, pickled daikon radish, pickles, spicy aioli and a fried egg. I thought it looked like it “hit different.” So I ordered the same.
You can’t really tell from the photos, but the cheese in this burger is what ties it together in my opinion. The melted cheese with the noodles on the patty. It was very good and something I’d definitely recommend ordering if you’re a burger fan and a noodle fan like your The Kansas Gastronomist.
As a side note/reminder/fyi — the owners of Crafted Wichita are the owners of this new spot.
