“The Kansas Gastronomist you get your butt upstairs right this second!!!” Doug’s Mother-In-Law screamed at the top of her lungs.
Jeez, Louise. Every time I thought things were going fine that woman showed up. I took another bite of my Chopped Cheese from Social Tap. I couldn’t help it. And took one more bite of the Wheatley Burger and shoved a tot into my gullet for good measure.
“Coming, Doug’s MIL!!!” I hollered as I scurried up from Doug’s basement.
“Look at him, TKG. Just look at what you’ve done.” Doug’s MIL said as she motioned to Doug whimpering in the corner. “What do you have to say for yourself!?!?” She stared at me, clearly waiting for an apology.
“Give me a break!! Just because I didn’t ask him if he wanted something from Social Tap.” I responded while trying to hide my jubilation. After all, I knew Doug loved Social Tap, but also knew that Social Tap had no time for Dougs. “He’s such a big stinkin’ baby man-child!!!” I went on as Doug continued to whimper…looking like that creature in Lord of the Rings.
“Peace out. I’ve got food to eat.” I said as I bound my way back down to Doug’s basement.
RESTAURANT NOTES: Social Tap is located in Wichita, Kansas with two locations. The first location is conveniently at 21st & Greenwich. And the second convenient location is at WSU at Oliver & 21st. And the food is always great. But I’m a sucker for the chopped cheese.
