It had been a long time since I had been to Sport Burger Drive-In located just north of the northeast corner of Douglass & Hillside in Wichita, Kansas. This place is definitely a top burger place.
I picked up a Double Cheeseburger for me and a plain burger for Doug’s wife (my sister), along with an order of Cheese Fries, a side of fries and Dr. Pepper. In total — $16 and change.
This was Doug’s wife’s first time. And she really loved it. Said it was better than some of the “gourmet burger” places in town. Her words. Not mine. But I thought that was kind of cool because although I hate her, I thought it was neat she was expanding her palette.
Of course I love Sport Burger.
If you haven’t been before — do yourself a favor. Walk into your bedroom, stand in front of the mirror and backhand yourself. Then drive to Sport Burger.
