March 23, 2025
It’s Sunday, March 23rd. And this is what is in my craw.
The whining, complaining babies (WCBs).
Every single city in the state of Kansas has WCBs within. They whine, complain and act like big babies wherever they live. Whether it is one of the smallest cities in Kansas or in one of the largest cities in Kansas. The WCBs are bound and united by one tenet — to be unhappy about living in city they reside in, while trying to make you unhappy about living there too.
One way the WCBs does this, and they love to do so, is to talk about how much better another place is. Sometimes the WCB lived in that other place decades ago and usually it was a brief period of time. Hell, sometimes the WCB only VISITED said place. But no matter how long ago or short lived the experience the WCB had, the WCB holds onto some past romantic memory and talks about it all the time while whining about the city you both reside in.
The other commonality amongst WCBs is they usually do not participate. Whether it is participating in the community events by attending, or volunteering with organizations or civic groups or even running for local office, there is zero participation from the WCB. But that makes sense because why would a bunch of big babies get involved?
So, cheers to the peeps in all the small, big and medium sized cities that value what their communities have to offer, participate and volunteer.
And to you WCBs…I just warmed up your baby bottle. I’ll burp you when you’re done.
