I really don’t know what all y’all’s problem is. It’s called Tanya’s Soup Kitchen. Not Tanya’s Sandwich Kitchen. That name don’t even make any darn sense.
When you go to Tanya’s, you order soup. And a big dang bowl of it like me, your The Kansas Gastronomist. The sandwiches are good…but this ain’t a game. Get the soup.
On my last visit I ordered the Jamaican Red Beans and Rice. It’s always excellent.
Tanya’s might have been the first local restaurant I visited back in the day. Before I even became a resident of the city with the world’s worst drivers (newsflash…it’s Wichita). What I love about Tanya’s is the rotating soup menu. Different soups, everyday. Soup is one of my favorite things.
Tanya’s is located at 1725 E. Douglas Ave. in Wichita, which is just west of Douglas and Hydraulic.
