I knew what he was doing the second that he jumped up from his seat at The Easy Egg Breakfast & Lunch.
Twerp (Doug’s son) was the most unimaginative human being, next to his father, that I’d ever met. And he loved to give bunny ears to anyone he could. You know…the prank where you make a “v” with your index finger and flip-off finger and put it behind someone’s head unbeknownst to them? Usually committed against an old-man boss, ex-lover, or occasionally someone you know well.
And now he was trying to commit this egregious act against me.
“Dang it Twerp!!!!” I screamed as I shoved my final bite of my Chili Verde Skillet down my gullet. “I don’t have bunny ears!!!!! I’ve told you that a thousand times. Bunny ears are for bunnies and not for gastronomists!!!!”
Seriously. At the age of three, you’d really of thought this loser would have grown up by now.
RESTAURANT NOTES: The Easy Egg rock just recently opened up its second location just north of 29th and Rock on the east side of Rock. I really liked my Chili Verde Skillet. Definitely would order it again. I did sit next to a couple and the guy ordered the Breakfast Bowl…it was not what we expected. Everything came out separate. I definitely made the right call (duh!!!!).
If you do go, make sure and mention that TKG sent you. It’s a 99.7% certainty that they won’t know what the hell you’re talking about. But it could be kind of funny. Probably a lot of head nodding.
