I had heard that The Mall Deli in Pittsburg, Kansas was a spot to grab some good food. It’s been in business since 1979 and I begged Chris with Explore Crawford County to show me the way.
He did.
I grabbed the French Dip. Hand to you know who — it really was an awesome sandwich. The au jus was so flavorful with the roast beef. Think I’m exaggerating? Just ask Chris. Yeah, he did sign an NDA, but he’ll still tell you the truth, which is that I jumped on top of the dining room table and did a jig called “Dang, That Sandwich.” I also ordered a cup of chili because you all know how much I love chili, and it was quite good.
I was quite impressed with this place. It wasn’t what I expected. It is surprisingly (or not surprisingly) in the mall in Pittsburg. Makes sense. It was hopping, but we were in and out in no time.
Put this spot on your list the next time you’re in Pittsburg.
