It’s been nearly a year since I went to The Mango Tree- Wichita South with my frenemy Live Local and a couple of Gastrofans. When I went I had the Butter Chicken Curry, Indian Kitchen Fries and Beef Curry. Some fantastic Indian food. I was super impressed with the Beef Curry and the sauces were fantastic on the Indian Fries. I’m providing photos of the same.
So, what’s my point?
I’ve heard from several folks — followers, other food bloggers and the manager of The Mango Tree – that it has been really struggling. If you want my honest opinion, and you can say what you want, but I think it’s the location. It dang sure is not the food. Or in my experience, the service.
The Mango Tree is located near S. Broadway Ave. and W. 47th St. S at 111 E. 47th St. S, Wichita, KS 67216. They have a happy hour Sunday-Thursday from 2pm-5pm and 8pm-10pm where tons of food is 50% off. Go and give them a try soon if you haven’t. Or if you haven’t in a while (like me) get back there if you can.
