I made a promise a long, long, long, time ago…that I would visit every single restaurant that participated in Kansas Food Bank’s ICT Restaurant Week, which helped raise money for people that need a helping hand.
And The Monarch in Delanoict in Wichita, Kansas is one of the restaurants that participated to help others…and so I recently visited.
It’s an all-star restaurant. I’ve been to this restaurant more often than you’d know. They always are “the spot” when the St. Paddy’s Day Parade happens. Hell, even Ms. Hope (if you follow me, you know Hope) has been here.
I had already had one meal that evening, but decided I needed to stop by and grab the Grilled Cheese with Bacon. I love all the cheeses (provolone and cheddar) with this sandwich. And the bacon gives it that crunch. Of course, you have to get the chips that are made in-house.
