One of my avid and adoring Gastrofans, whom resides in Wichita, Kansas, clued me in to Tortilleria Los Potrillos in Garden City, Kansas in Finney County.
So I finally made it by.
Now some of you Gastrofans in Wichita might recognize the name. That’s because there is a Tortilleria Los 3 Potrillos there, which I have written about. My Gastrofan tells me that his parents own the one in Garden City and his uncle owns the one in Wichita. Cue the song “It’s a Small World.”
I swung by the Tortilleria to check out the shop and pick up some tamales. Now these fresh and authentic tamales were like $12 for all that. Amazing deal. And it was incredible. On the weekends they sell tamales, carnitas, barbacoa and menudo.
I love the connections that I get to witness all throughout the state of Kansas. It’s so awesome.
