Twin Peaks Restaurants in Wichita, Kansas is known for their scenic views. Or so I’m told. I’m just a 90-year old man living in Doug’s basement, trying to make a living being an influencer. What do I know?
Here’s what I know. Three things.
1. I had an awesome entree.
2. I had the worst fries ever.
3. The amount of time I waited — I could have watched Titanic (exaggeration slightly).
I ordered a couple of items. The “Mom’s Pot Roast” ended up being VERY good. I wouldn’t think to get this, but my server recommended it. Good recommendation. The Smokestack Burger was decent/average. It was just fine. Now on to point #2.
The fries. The fries were COLD and had the most salt of any fries I’ve ever had. Period. End of story. There is no excuse for those fries. The reason that the fries were cold (I ASSUME) is because of the next point.
Point #3. It took 44-minutes to get my food. Is that a long time? I feel like it is. That’s why the fries were so cold (I suspect my food was just sitting for a long time). And before anybody says “well, you took it ‘to-go,’” here’s my short response — I had those fries in my facehole within 5-minutes of the box being handed to me. Ice cold.
In conclusion — go to Twin Peaks (the one I went to is the one on the east side) for the scenic views. And maybe Mom’s Pot Roast. But don’t go there for the cold fries that take 40+ minutes that are so overly salted. Or you’ll be as irritated as I was.
