As a “thank you” for helping judge a competition at Wichita Wagyu , they gave me some of these Drumsticks from Marzenia Farm out of Sedgwick, Kansas. The chicken includes no antibiotics and were raised free range (which means not in cages).
Trying to keep things “local” I went and picked up some dry rubs from PatDaddy’s, based out of Wichita, Kansas (ran into them at Wichita Flea Market). I used some avocado oil on the drumsticks, and then lathered up that chicken rub on the sticks.
I really admire local farmers, ranchers, and all small businesses involved in this cooking expedition, including Wichita Wagyu, Marzenia Farms and PatDaddy’s.
