I’m always on the hunt for good soups. So when I looked at my to-do list and saw a restaurant named Sandwich Bowl was in Lawrence, Kansas, I decided to swing by. Because the word “bowl” is in the name. Ya know. And usually soup is in bowls. Course cereal can be too. Actually, now that I think about it, almost anything that I eat can be eaten in a bowl. Even Beefaroni.
Anyway, it turns out there was soup, but just one daily soup. A new homemade soup every day. The Cheesy Pickle soup tasted just like how it sounds, which means it was phenomenal. Seventeen parts cheese, five parts pickle. I also ordered a cheeseburger. Sort of.
The burgers they sell (or at least the “Betta Burgers”) are loose meat chopped patties served in hoagie rolls. It was interesting. I still am not sure about it. Upon some reflection, I’ll bet the Pizza Burger would have been so damn good. I feel like the “loose meat” is a perfect way to have a more “saucy” burger. Just some thoughts from an idiot (I’m talking about me). Again, it was good, but just was missing something.
