We talk about seasons in sports and in television shows. And every season is different. The cast of characters change. Not completely, but every season is different. Sometimes there is a new quarterback and the old one retired. Sometimes the main character’s brother passed away or moved away and in place of the brother is the main character’s long lost cousin.
And we talk about seasons of life. Kind of sucks, doesn’t it? Because it is real, but it still works out the same way. We are all here for a season. And within that season are multiple seasons, I guess. People are born. People die. People come. And then, sometimes those people go.
Heidi, I wish you the best in the next season of your life. Thank you for letting me (and all of us) be part of it. Hope you enjoyed the pizza, vino and convo. Who knows. Maybe one of us will make a guest appearance in each other’s upcoming season. If not, that’s okay. Because it was still a damn good season.
