Doug sauntered into Bronx Pizza & Pints in western Wichita (21st & Amidon) during the weekday lunch hour.
He had heard through the social media, food blogger, influencer, content creator’ grapevine that Bronx had some decent pizza and sandwiches. And he was on a mission. A mission to prove that he had what it takes.
“Let’s get the Meatball Sandwich. Cut it in half for each of us. Okay?” Doug snapped at the server. “And then a slice of the Margarita for my friend, Gertie, there.”
“Yes. Yes. A Margarita for me, and he’ll have a slice of the Pestoroni.” Gertie (TKG’s on-again-off-again GF) said in a super quiet manner. Gertie giggled a few seconds later and then leaned over to give Doug a nose nuzzle.
RESTAURANT NOTES: I really enjoy Bronx every time I swing by. I honestly wish I could make it more. I thought the Meatball sandwich was pretty good. I ate most of it. As far as the pizza, you can order by the slice like we did. It did remind me of a more “New Yorker” style. And it is tasty.
