The potato salad at Barrel Boys BBQ in Wichita is unlike any I have ever had. I don’t even know how to describe it, but it is so unique and the best I have ever had. It is delightful. Since I’m talking sides, the green beans were pretty damn good too. They had some nice garlic in it.
Oh yeah, let’s talk meat and that tender brisket. Man that had some nice flavor. And so did those burnt ends caprese dish, which was on special. I loved those burnt ends!
I think Barrel Boys BBQ sometimes gets forgotten, which is a damn shame because every time I have been in I feel welcome. It’s clearly got multiple members of the owner’s family helping out (the kid that took my order referenced how much he “loved his dad’s potato salad”). It’s located at 2202 W. 13th St. in Western Wichita.
