Is there anything more important for a Gastronomist to do than check out the latest (and maybe only?) Honduran restaurant in Wichita?
Answer is no. There’s not. And that’s why I went with Wichita By E.B. to ElsazonCatracho on south Hillside in Wichita. And if you want the Reader’s Digest version, well I really enjoyed the food we ordered and will go back again. There’s not a ton of Honduran food in Wichita and this was pretty damn good.
We ordered the Baledas De Chorizo (first two food photos), the Carne Asada De Res (third food photo) and the Pollo Con Tajadas (fourth food photo). Overall, my favorite was the Chorizo Baleda. I ate the whole thing. 100%. So good. But I really enjoyed all of the dishes. The carne asada on the Carne Asada De Res was cooked excellently and the chicken dish had a bunch of great flavor.
El Sazon Catracho is located at 2959 S. Hillside St., over by Krispy’s Fried Chicken.
