I finally checked out J’s Carryout in Emporia, Kansas. It’s been owned by the same family since 1988. I think it was a burger spot going back to the 1960s, but not sure and also do not know if it operated under a different name. But this is a damn good burger. It really is. It reminded me of Buster’s Burger Joint in Wichita. And the owner (or owner’s son — not exactly sure) was working the grill. I love that. You can check out the photos and see for yourself.
