I love me some Meddys, but they failed on this visit.
Look, I have given a TON of love to Meddys over the years and deservedly so, but this food pick-up lacked love and missed a bit.
Gertie got the Succulent Chicken, which is her go-to. I have posted about this specific dish FOUR times previously. It was missing pickles, which really took away from the dish. And there was very little sauce in the wrap. She said she would normally give Meddys a “five out of five,” but this time she would give a “two out of five.” Meanwhile, I ordered the Swimming Shawarma, which has that marinated salmon. While I thought the shawarma was decent, it too lacked the normal flavor I have grown accustomed to. And I have reviewed this wrap at least two other times and love it.
And the worst part? The garlicky potatoes were overcooked and lacked garlic. And again, like the other two dishes, these items are our “go-to’s.” I have had these three dishes more times than I can count.
Honestly, it just felt and looked like the food was just “thrown together.” I’ve never felt that way before about food from Meddys. And I checked. For gooder or worser, I have blogged about Meddys eleven previous times, and this might be the first time I have said something less than positive.
Hopefully it was a one-off. Because I love me my Meddys.
