In southwestern Wichita there’s a cute lil’ restaurant called Pollo Express that specializes in selling Mexican food. During Fert The Foodie’s 8th Annual Taco Tour, we swung by and ordered some different tacos, which was nice because I always end up ordering the Pork Chili Verde.
I ordered the “Transmission” Taco, which is carna asada, seasoned grilled/caramelized onions and cilantro. And in the words of Fert — just enough grease. It was pretty tasty. I have to say, I am a big fan of the sauces at this spot.
Pollo Express is located at 2501 W. Pawnee St. in Wichita just on the other side of the street from my favorite store — Dollar General.
