I asked an Indian dude what his favorite Indian food in Wichita is. He told me that he felt the more flavorful and his favorite in Wichita was actually the recently opened (and only) Sri Lankan restaurant called Serendibz on North Woodlawn Rd. in northeast Wichita. I decided to check it out the next day.
This spot has only been open since the beginning of December and I really hope you give it a shot. That’s why I am posting about it today on the first day of 2026. You can get it quick and easy. You can see that one option is to order like you’re at a Chipotle or whatever. I got a “Combo Bowl” which includes a base, protein and two sides. I ordered the Ghee Rice as the base, Curry Chicken as the protein and Eggplant 
(I love that emoji) Moju and Dhal Curry. The Dhal Curry is that paste looking stuff in the top right corner. So damn good.
This is truly a “mom and pop” shop. Or at least a “wife and husband” shop. That is who is there. He is in the back cooking. She is in the front taking orders, serving and smiling.
Go to 3700 N. Woodlawn Blvd., Suite 106 and tell ‘em you want the TKG special. You’ll love the blank stare that you’ll receive in response.
