So there’s this sort of cool building called Werner Creek Farm Store in Winfield, Kansas right next to LADYBIRD BREWING.
The Werner Creek Farm (not the store) is located approximately 7-miles outside of Winfield. It is a “specialty crop farm and food processing business.” They primarily or solely grow vegetables, but are able to do so year-round in what looks like greenhouses.
And in the farm store, also open year-round, they not only sell their vegetables, but also chicken and duck eggs, jams, salsa, pasta sauce, pickles, pickled okra, fresh sourdough, wheat and rustic breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, English Muffins, Bierocks and Sausage kolaches, Seasonal soups, Frozen lasagna, enchiladas, egg casseroles, chicken pot pies and Locally grown and packaged teas. Other ish too.
I picked up some of the Chicken Enchiladas, which were homemade, and then I cooked it up a few days later. I thought that shredded chicken was fabulous! Like me.
What a bad ass little shop. Glad I was able to finally check it out.
