Ballet Wichita was putting on a performance of “Alice in Wonderland” at Friends University last night. There is another performance at 2pm today I believe.
Anyway, I realized while watching the performance that I really never understood the whole Alice in Wonderland thing. It’s a trip. You got that crazy “off with his head” lady. Even that gal made an appearance in the show and she was pretty damn good! And the mad hatter. The smokin’ cat, or whatever.
But it’s a timeless story I guess. Hell, they (who is they?) even named a neurological disorder after the story called “Alice in Wonderland syndrome.” One of the things it does is cause size distortion, including making objects appear too large (or small). I kind of wonder if the disorder is not more wide-spread than previously thought.
