I don’t know Andy and Emily Boyd or lan and Sumer Crane. And they wouldn’t know me from Abel. But I think it’s pretty damn cool that they took a chance and opened up Central Standard Brewing in Wichita 11-years ago. I wonder what those conversations were like? I’m sure there were times that they said “what the hell are we doing?”
But they kept on, keeping on, and today you can celebrate with them and their other partner (and brewer), Nathan Jackel, during their Birthday Block Party.
There is beer, drinks, music, food trucks and probably other stuff I don’t know about, going until midnight. Speaking of food trucks, you can grab yourself a Ferty Birdy sandwich from Slingin Birds LLC food truck like I did (I’II review that a different day). For the record, it’s much more enjoyable to eat the chicken sandwich with the guy it is named after, so grab yourself a Fert The Foodie like I did if you can find one. Also Noble House Hawaiian Plate Lunch Food Truck is there slinging out some food as well. I think it is Hawaiian food.
