I am NOT a Japanese cuisine expert. I know that I love almost all cuisine and Japanese is no exception.
But what I do know is that several Japanese folks I know in Wichita consider Japan Express to be one of the top Japanese restaurants in Wichita. Oh, and I also know I love the food at Japan Express and the owner.
I ordered the Obento. It comes with Chicken, Fried Pork, Eggroll, Rice and salad. Just a good overall meal! I really enjoyed the pork and egg roll. And no trip to Japan Express is complete without the brown egg. Soaked in soy for a long time. Gawd I love that thing. I also ordered the Teriyaki Chicken for Doug’s Wife (my sister). It’s one of the few places in town that offers white chicken rather than brown in this dish.
Japan Express is located at 2250 N. Rock Rd. in northeast Wichita.
