LADYBIRD BREWING in Winfield is awesome! A very cool couple owns this spot. Some people don’t know this. Actually, nobody knows this, but I knew Kaydee and Laura way before they had this awesomely successful brewery and before I had this lame blog. 
I swear I think I remember talking to Laura about home-brewing all those years ago. 
. Here’s a cool tidbit. I went on the Sandia Peak Tramway with them YEARS ago in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I was invited by the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce to promote Visit Winfield’s Restaurant Week happening April 17th-26th. I was not paid, but was provided $ to pay for meals. This is one of several stops I made along with Bottomless Pit ICT and Lets.Eat.ICT.
Anyway, on to the beer. I ordered a couple different beverages. I liked the Chill Pill IPA a lot! And it was cool that they did this “neighbor collab” with this local Asian grocery store. The beer was a “sticky rice Lager,” and I believe the “neighbor” provided the sticky rice, but I could be wrong. How neat of Ladybird to do a collab like that. I just love it.
Ladybird Brewing is one of the thirteen spots participating in Winfield’s Restaurant Week. The other spots are: American Legion Chapter 10, College Hill Coffee, El Azteca Mexican Restaurant, El Maguey, Gambino’s Pizza, Grammies Sandwiches, IKES DONUT SHOP, Luigi’s italian Restaurant of Winfield KS, Oasis Coffee Shop, Rivers Eagle Bar & Grill, Scooter’s Coffee (Winfield, KS) and Winfield Country Club. You can get a Winfield Restaurant Week passport. Five stamps or more and be entered to win $100 in Chamber Checks. If you get all thirteen stamps, you get a FREE Winfield Restaurant Week T-shirt. Each business will also have a special that week that will be listed on the back of the passports. Passports should be turned into the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce, 123 E. 9th Ave., April 27-29th. The drawing for $100 in Chamber Checks will be held May 1st.
