“His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. There’s vomit on his sweater already, Green Spaghetti.”
It was 2001 and the one of the greatest rappers of our generation, and really any generation, The Kansas Gastronomist, was in Detroit doing rap battle crap and stuff. And he was working on his new song.
“You know, Marshall, I really do love Green Spaghetti. You are aware that Green Spaghetti is merely a pasta in green pepper sauce, right? With sour cream and other stuff that I don’t know about.” TKG said as he sat down to a bowl of Green Spaghetti.
It was not more than a year later that TKG’s good friend and fellow rap battle crap and stuff dude ripped TKG off and changed the entire song. By changing “Green Spaghetti” to “Mom’s Spaghetti.”
RESTAURANT/FOOD NOTES: I always enjoy a meal at Old Town Burrito, which is conveniently located in Old Town Wichita, in Wichita- , Kansas. The Green Spaghetti was pretty tasty. It was definitely not as spicy as when I last ordered it in June 2025. Probably a good thing because I know most peeps in ICT have a low spice tolerance, but it still could use a bit more kick. The flavor was great and I thought the sauce consistency was exactly what I would do.
