Hey weirdos. I LOVED the meal I got at Sharky’s Island Bites in western Wichita. The only thing bad about the experience is I had to be in western Wichita.
Seriously though…the food. I texted my buddies, whom shall remain nameless, the following: “No shitting. That was the best Hawaiian food I have had in wichita, ever.” I copied and pasted exactly what I texted.
I ordered the Mixed Plate. You get to pick your proteins and sides, over rice. I got the Huli Huli Chicken and the Teriyaki Steak with Mac salad and a Hawaiian salad as my sides. I’m telling you, be stupid and don’t order the Mac salad. Cause if you don’t, that’s what you are. Incredible. I loved it. And it added SO much to the dish when you mixed it in. They changed their Mac salad from what I remember. I think that is right, but maybe I’m wrong. That pepper on the Mac salad is as a game changer, though. And the steak was cooked perfectly. I REALLY loved my meal. Like, I’ll be craving this thing again very soon.
