It’s Sunday, September 6th and it’s craw time.

Do you know peeps in life that always seem to be focused on the small problems instead of the big ones?

I always give this analogy. Let’s say there is a fire in your home and your kids need to be rescued. But as you are running around the house gathering up your kids, you notice Junior didn’t put all of his toys away in the playroom. So, instead of continuing on with the rescue, you stop and chastise Junior for failing to put the toys away. Sure. You’re right that Junior should have cleaned up his mess like you had trained him. But let’s save the kids and the house. Chores can be dealt with later.

Look, I understand that sometimes what is important to me might not be to you. There’s some subjectivity to it. But more often than not, objectively one problem is bigger than another. Is this a million-dollar problem or a twenty-dollar problem? Is this a life-or-death problem or a hurt-feelings problem?

So often I see peeps focused on what I think a rationale human would consider to be “small potatoes.” And honestly, it really gets in my craw. Because life is full of lots of BIG problems that ought to take priority.
