Definitely one of my favorite events of the year is the Wichita Wagonmasters Downtown Chili Cookoff in Downtown Wichita. I swung by with my lil’ buddy Fert The Foodie and we tried every single chili. My personal fav was the Kansas Cattle Co. It had this amazing smokiness to it. Fert and I both agreed on that one. My second favorite was INTRUST Bank’s chili. It had a ton of different spices and ingredients that gave it a really great flavor. And my third favorite chili was the Pork Chili Verde from Wichita Marriott. But there were so many great chilis, entertainment, planes flying and a great crowd. Now, I gotta wash my t-shirt. Too many damn chili stains.
