I just needed to get away from Doug’s Mother-in-Law and so I swung by Cafe Maurice in Wichita. She is always telling me bullhonkey like that I need to be nice to people and hold doors open for ladies and stuff. It’s like “whatever, Mom.”
By the way, for those that don’t know, Cafe Maurice is a Mediterranean restaurant that has been in business since 2010 and is located in northeastern Wichita over at E. 21 St N. & N. Webb Rd.
I ordered the Chicken Au Poivre. It comes with the grilled chicken and then sautéed vegetables and green peppercorns sauce over rice vermicelli. It was very tasty. It was definitely “saucier” than the other Chicken Au Poivres I have had in Wichita (at Bella Luna and Mediterranean Grill). Not in a bad way. I definitely recommend trying it if you enjoy this hearty, saucy, dish!
