I freaking love Poblanos Mexican Grill in Wichita. The owners run the restaurant and are always there. The food and ingredients are fresh. And I don’t even know the dude owner, but he’s so damn nice.
Speaking of which, I told the owner to just make up the bowl however he wanted. And it was awesome and I will get it every single time from now on. Here is what I remember/can tell from the photos that he put on it. White rice, pinto beans, barbacoa, pico de gallo, green salsa (mild), a little hot/fire salsa, cheese, cilantro, corn, sour cream, and onion. I think that is everything. The bowl was just so flavorful and it (the flavor and sauces) soaked into the rice. It was perfection. One of my favorite “fast-casual” bowls I have ever had, which is why everyone is calling it “The TKG Bowl.” Don’t believe me? Well, buster, just run quickly into the restaurant and scream “I WANT THE TKG BOWL!!!!” And just see what happens.
Poblanos is located at 343 S. Greenwich Road on the north side of Greenwich & Kellogg. So, like if you are heading to Dandales Western Store on the south side of Kellogg, you’ll be like really close.
