Doug, Doug’s Wife (my sister), Kevin (my best friend and former Hollywood agent), Gertie and I swung by The Greens at Terradyne in Andover. For those that do not know, this is located at Terradyne Country Club, but is open to the public.
I was disappointed in most of the food. The service was great, but the food was the most average food. Sorry, not sorry.
First, let’s discuss the Jerk Chicken, which was on special. Well, it was on special, but it was definitely not special. What’s up with all that yogurt dill sauce? You couldn’t even taste any of the spices or chicken. Maybe somebody needs to “Google” jerk chicken to see what it might look like. Have you ever seen so much sauce on jerk chicken? Not me.
I did like the Buffalo Mac & Cheese as far as the noodles and cheese. Very good. The cheese was perfect. But the chicken was soft and just average. Also, it’s a country club. Great that they have good mac, but whatever.
And finally, check out the cheese curds. They charge us $10 for around eight frozen, average, cheese curds? Not kidding — the plate you see is completely undisturbed and nobody had yet eaten from it.
I will go back again, but not because of this meal. This was the most average or below average meal I have had in a minute. I had higher expectations.
